MindOS
A manifesto

Why we will never show you a score.

Most trackers hand you a number for your night and let it set the tone of your day. We think that is the wrong thing to build. Here is what we built instead.

A friend told us the thing that started this. A tracker that grades your night can quietly take over how you feel. A good night plus a bad score ruins the morning. A bad night plus a good score makes you distrust your own body. Either way, a number you did not choose becomes the authority on your own lived experience.

That is backwards. You are the one living the day. The data should describe what happened and hand the read back to you, not sit in judgment over it.

So MindOS does not show you a 0 to 100. Not because we could not compute one. Because we ran the numbers, and the honest answer is that a precise daily score would be false precision dressed up as insight.

What the data actually supports

MindOS is built on a per-person model of cognitive energy. It learns your own baseline, how much your days swing, and how fast you revert after a high or a low. We validated it on a public longitudinal dataset, and we are going to be plain about what we found.

On next-day point prediction, the model lands at a mean absolute error of about 0.60 on a 1 to 5 energy scale. Predicting "tomorrow will be your average" lands at about 0.61. In other words, on the precise daily number, the model barely beats a coin flip against your own mean. So we refuse to sell you that number.

What the data does carry is real, and it is worth more than a fake decimal:

Reversion

Extreme days tend to correct. After a day near your floor, the next day usually bounces back. After a peak, it rarely repeats two days running. This holds about two times in three. It is the most reliable forward signal in the whole model, and it is the one we will say out loud.

Your fingerprint

The shape of your energy is personal. How wide your days swing, how fast you settle, where your usual sits. Those parameters are stable, they are yours, and no wrist band can read them off the screen the way your phone can.

The learning curve

The read sharpens as it sees more of you. Early on it leans on a sensible prior. Over your first weeks it becomes a description of you, not of people in general.

What you see instead of a grade

A plain-language state for today, in your own words, never a digit. The raw inputs that made it: your sleep, your morning HRV, your screen load, each against your own usual, in real units. A single hedged look ahead, and only when you are at an extreme, because that is the one place a forward call is honest. And your Energy Fingerprint: your type, your real parameters, your recent days. Something you can actually share, because it describes you rather than ranks you.

No overnight HRV claim. Phone HRV is a spot reading and we treat it as one. No clinical sleep stages. We sell duration, timing, and disturbances, which is what the phone can honestly see. No medical claims of any kind. MindOS is a wellness read, not a diagnosis.

A description of your data, not a grade of you.

The whole thing runs on the phone you own

No wrist band to buy. No subscription required to get a real read. The signal nobody else watches, your digital and cognitive load, is the one the wearables cannot see, and it is sitting on your phone already. We read it there, on device, and we tell you the truth about how much it actually knows.
